Director, Regional Supply Chain Strategy

Overview

Director, Regional Supply Chain Strategy & Transformation (SA & Results Delivery) role at Ball Corporation. The position focuses on shaping regional footprint strategy and driving the delivery of strategic initiatives at the intersection of capital and resource allocation to support EVA growth.

• Strategic Leadership: leverage best-in-class strategy development processes to evolve and execute the regional supply chain strategy.
• Collaboration with Growth Organization to define "Where to Play," "How to Win," and core capabilities needed to achieve enterprise and regional goals, including sustainability considerations.
• Ensure Economic Value Added (EVA) growth through strategic initiatives.
• Work with the Supply Chain Execution team on the regional Strategic Planning cycle (2 years +), including footprint modelling (Ball and competitor) and optimization scenario planning.
• Support Corporate Development with supply chain considerations for potential M&A opportunities.
• Own the regional strategic investment project process: partner with Growth on the commercial proposition, then coordinate with Operations and Supply Chain teams to identify the optimal network/investment solution.
• Oversee the preparation of strategic investment AFEs, ensuring robust investment proposals in collaboration with Growth/Commercial, Finance, O&SC and other stakeholders.
• Manage key stakeholders through the process (Regional President, regional leaders, Global Operations & Supply Chain leaders) to develop and align on investment propositions and decisions.
• Direct scope, timeline, budget, resources and goals for regional strategic investment projects.
• Oversee delivery of a strategic supply chain initiative portfolio emphasizing growth, transformation, capability development, and value creation.
• Performance Monitoring: set cadence for regular reviews of strategic plans, goals, and major cost-out projects; establish metrics for ongoing evaluation; intervene when initiatives deviate from timelines or savings targets.
• Communication and Advocacy: lead the creation of Board submissions, QRBUs, and deep-dive materials; act as a spokesperson aligning initiatives with organizational objectives; distill complex ideas and data into compelling strategic storylines; provide thought leadership on end-to-end supply chain advancements.
• Change Leadership: partner across functions to deploy transformational change practices; lead initiatives that foster innovation, transformation, and growth.

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Experience in manufacturing, preferably packaging, with exposure to senior stakeholders.
• Operational supply chain experience and a proven track record in strategic planning, portfolio management, and driving transformational change.
• Ability to distill complex ideas and data into compelling strategic narratives; strong cross-functional influence and relationship-building.
• Ability to manage shifting requirements and tight timelines in a high-visibility environment; experience building and leading high-performing teams in a matrix environment.
• Knowledge of M&A, joint ventures, and corporate development initiatives; strong understanding of EVA and capital allocation strategies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with data visualization tools preferred.
