About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a vital part in shaping the architecture and design of our applications. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable microservices using Node.js, ensuring they are efficient and adaptable to meet business needs.

Our ideal candidate will have experience with Kafka for event-driven communication and service decoupling, as well as building and integrating REST APIs (internal + third-party). They should also be skilled in deploying services in containerized & clustered environments (Docker, Kubernetes/Nomad) and managing identity and access control with Keycloak.

Designing schemas and queries for MongoDB (primary) and SQL databases is also a key aspect of this role. The ability to apply CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools (GitHub Actions, Prometheus/Grafana) is essential for ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain scalable microservices using Node.js: Utilize Node.js to create efficient and adaptable microservices that meet business needs.
  • Work with Kafka for event-driven communication and service decoupling: Employ Kafka for real-time data exchange and disentanglement of services, ensuring seamless interactions.
  • Build and integrate REST APIs (internal + third-party): Construct and connect RESTful APIs for internal and external use cases, fostering collaboration and integration.
  • Deploy services in containerized & clustered environments (Docker, Kubernetes/Nomad): Leverage Docker and Kubernetes or Nomad for efficient deployment and management of services in a distributed environment.
  • Manage identity and access control with Keycloak: Utilize Keycloak to securely manage user identities and access rights across systems.
  • Design schemas and queries for MongoDB (primary) and SQL databases: Craft optimal database schema designs and queries for MongoDB and SQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
  • Apply CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools (GitHub Actions, Prometheus/Grafana): Implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines, coupled with monitoring tools like GitHub Actions, Prometheus, and Grafana, to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience with web3 platforms (wallets, blockchain identity flows, token management): Possess expertise in web3 platforms, including wallets, blockchain identity flows, and token management.
  • Exposure to multi-tenant/federated service models: Familiarity with multi-tenant and federated service architectures, enabling scalable and secure service delivery.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices (logs, tracing, metrics): Knowledge of DevOps principles, encompassing log analysis, tracing, and metrics collection, to ensure efficient system operation.
