Position

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Unity Gameplay Engineer to join our team full-time. Collaborate closely with our Lead Engineer, Developers, and Artists to shape the core of our games.

Responsibilities

• Write clear, maintainable, modular, portable Unity and C# code
• Work collaboratively within our in-house team of designers, artists, and developers
• Aim for high standards in code quality, performance, and maintainability
• Ensure the technical approach being proposed for a given feature satisfies both the surface-level and deeper, engineering-specific requirements
• Diagnose and address technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks to deliver high-quality and stable games

Requirements

• A genuine love for game development and a collaborative spirit
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, capable of working autonomously
• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing games professionally, with experience in shipping Unity titles for PC and mobile
• Expertise with touch controls, and the build pipeline for mobile apps in a Unity context
• Familiarity with the Google and Apple stores, and the nuances of listing, testing, and provisioning apps
• An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in C#, with robust debugging skills, and the capability to code and architect gameplay mechanics and tools
• Experience in writing multiplayer gameplay systems
• Knowledge in profiling, testing, optimization, and low-level programming
• Ability to author lean, high-performance, maintainable code
• Creativity in problem-solving and the ability to think beyond established solutions
• Problem-solving abilities with the capacity to execute tasks independently
• Excellent communication skills and receptivity to feedback
• Bonus: familiarity with Perforce and Jira
