Software Architect - Backend Systems We are seeking a skilled Software Architect to design, implement, and maintain high-quality backend systems for machine learning and large language model features. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python, FastAPI, and experience with database management, including Postgres, MongoDB, and Milvus. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing database performance, improving observability and reliability for distributed and asynchronous workloads, and implementing retry/backoff strategies and structured logging. Additionally, they will help maintain and orchestrate containerized development workflows using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI checks. A strong understanding of unit and integration testing is essential to ensure high code quality and reliability. The Software Architect will also be responsible for establishing and promoting Python-based development standards and best practices, improving the local development experience for the team. Key responsibilities include integrating and optimizing calls to LLM APIs and agentic frameworks, as well as mentoring other engineers and driving architectural decisions.
