Dow has a new open role for a **Business Communications Specialist **in Dow's Performance Materials & Coatings (PM&C) portfolio in Latin America. **The preferred location for this position is** **São Paulo, Brazil. **This individual is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies in alignment with business and market strategies for Dow's Coating Materials business and Building & Infrastructure, Industrial & Chemical Processing Markets within Dow's Consumer Solutions business in Latin America. He or she will collaborate closely with multiple functions and business stakeholders to develop integrated promotion plans including but not limited to digital campaign development, virtual and in-person events, media engagement, and content and key messaging development. This position is part of the Dow Performance Materials & Coatings Business Communications Team and will report to the Coatings & Performance Monomers Communications Leader.
**Responsibilities / Duties**:
- Develop and execute the Latin America (LAA) integrated communications strategy, in alignment with PM&C's business growth strategy, marketing and business communications strategies
- Lead campaigns and in-person/virtual events, such as tradeshows, webinars, in LAA to promote priority products and markets with ongoing measurement based on business objectives
- Serve as a strategic communications advisor in the region and provide counsel and communications support for senior LAA leadership
- Lead proactive media engagement for the region, develop media messaging map and identify and train key spokespeople
- Create content development plan for key promotion channels in alignment with global business communications strategy.
- Lead regional social media strategy and priorities, including organic and paid campaigns, channel management, reputation management, measurement and governance.
- Provide communications counsel and direction to regional commercial teams to enhance promotion effectiveness and drive increased engagement with key audiences
- Oversee allocated regional budget and agency management, including agency performance and relationship management, etc.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
- Fluency in English and either Spanish or Portuguese (both spoken and written) is a must. Any other regional language is an advantage.
- Strong writing and project management skills
- Ability to work with a variety of cultures, functions and businesses and other stakeholder groups along with the skills to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously - prioritizing a diverse range of projects and meeting tight deadlines.
**Required Qualifications**:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 3-7 years of experience in marketing, business communications and/or related communications disciplines
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Deep understanding of strategic communications, content marketing and media engagement
- Robust knowledge of emerging digital trends, tools, and analytics
- Agency management
- Budget management
