Early Years and Primary Years Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to support our head teachers in providing high-quality education to our students. With over 50 years of experience in the sector, we are a network of bilingual international schools committed to delivering the best possible education.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and want to make a positive impact on young lives. As a teaching assistant, you will play a vital part in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth.

Responsibilities and Assignments
  • Provide support to head teachers in teaching classes, preparing content, and managing students in school environments;
  • Assist head teachers in distributing and collecting materials, participating in didactic-pedagogical projects, and maintaining classroom organization;
  • Adapt activities for students with special educational needs and ensure their safety during activities and transitions;
  • Receive students at the entrance and exit of the school, ensuring adherence to safety standards and handing them over to authorized personnel;
  • Acknowledge student meals and maintain a safe dining environment;
  • Manage classrooms in the absence or temporary unavailability of head teachers, recording student activities through videos and photos as needed;
  • Attend academic meetings, educational conferences, and professional development workshops to enhance skills and knowledge;
  • Participate in school events open to families and adhere to RED HOUSE general guidelines (Language Policy, Teachers' Handbook, Assessment Policy).
Requirements and Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Attended or graduated in Pedagogy;
  • Desirable 2 years of classroom experience, preferably in Early Childhood Education;
  • Proficiency in English;
  • Specific technical knowledge in Early Childhood education, IB Methodology, and Child Development;
  • Soft skills such as digital thinking, caring profile, interpersonal relationships, conflict management, and creativity.
