About this opportunity We invite a talented, hands‑on Software Engineer to join our team. In this high‑responsibility role, you’ll work on our Medplum‑based, FHIR‑aware healthcare platform, expanding its capabilities safely and efficiently. You’ll operate within a HIPAA‑sensitive codebase, building patient‑facing interfaces, implementing AI‑powered data‑augmentation workflows, and collaborating closely with our R&D team to deliver high‑quality, compliant solutions. Strong React.js and TypeScript experience in production applications Python experience for multipurpose augmentation tasks Experience with backend frameworks (Express, NestJS) Experience integrating AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Claude, etc.) Familiarity with AWS services (S3, Lambda, RDS/Postgres, Redis) and Vercel hosting Proven use of agentic coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code/CLI, Codeium, etc.) Ability to navigate ambiguous requirements and deliver safe, well‑tested solutions Excellent English communication skills Good engineering judgment and ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced R&D setting Desirable Background in healthcare platforms, Medplum, FHIR (4.0.1), HL7, or HIPAA‑sensitive systems Experience building internal augmentation workflows or data pipelines Experience working in safety‑critical or high‑risk codebases Key responsibilities and your contribution In this role, you’ll design, build, and refine user‑facing features, implement AI‑driven workflows, and deliver safe, compliant solutions within a healthcare platform.
