Company: Rystad Energy, Inc.Title: Gas Markets Research InternLocation: Sao Paulo, Brazil**The Opportunity**The Gas Team is part of the analysis department in Rystad Energy and is responsible for maintaining and developing our database and products within the sector. The work done by the Gas Team is key for our company’s ambition to become a reference in market advisory solutions for energy transition and development of new business.As an intern, your role will consist of researching the major gas markets across Latin America to support the development of our regional products. You will be joining a lean and collaborative team, in a very dynamic environment, interacting with analysts from different teams across the world and with local and global clients. Our regional team is growing fast and presents great career opportunities by the end of the internship program.**Key Responsibilities**- Research the major Latin America gas markets, including regulation framework and pricing mechanisms- Track changes in policies and their key implications for the forecast models- Develop, update and manage the regional gas databases in Excel and SQL- Support the development and management of dashboards in Power BI- Support infrastructure costs modeling- Support the development of customized analysis, market reports and country reports- Support the development of presentations for client meetings and webinars**Internship Hours and Duration**A total of 20 hours is expected each week. The internship can last up to two years based on mutual consent.**Skills & Attributes for Success**- Undergraduate student in engineering, data science, economics or energy-related field- Ability to communicate well both verbally and written in English- Proficient in Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables, ability to structure large spreadsheets efficiently), and PowerPoint- Basic programming skills- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills- Team player, fast learner and interested in energy-related topics- The ability to read in Spanish, previous experience with Python and SQL, and previous experience with gas markets are desirable but not a requirement.**What We Offer**- Direct impact on products and services- Hands-on mentorship from experienced professionals- A diverse, dynamic and highly skilled working environment- Market competitive salary- Lunch subsidy**Application Process****About Rystad Energy**Rystad Energy is a leading energy research and consulting firm headquartered in Oslo, Norway with offices across the world.
