Job Description The Data Integration Specialist designs and implements the technical infrastructure needed to consolidate the school's data into a centralized repository. This role develops and maintains automated data pipelines, integrates multiple systems, and ensures data is structured for reporting. The specialist also supports the creation of dashboards and visualizations in Looker Studio, Power BI, or custom web applications, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions. Responsibilities Integrate data from multiple school systems and spreadsheets. Automate data pipelines (APIs, CSV, ETL processes, cloud‑based tools) to reduce manual work and improve accuracy. Build and manage automated ETL processes using APIs, SQL, Python scripts, and CSV workflows. Use Microsoft cloud tools (Data Factory, Power Automate) to streamline and automate workflows. Deliver dashboards and reports in Looker Studio, Power BI, or custom‑built web applications. Maintain and enhance data‑oriented web applications based on front‑end frameworks (Angular, React) and backend development (Python or .NET). Document data structures, pipelines, and integration standards to ensure long‑term sustainability. Collaborate with the Systems & Data Admin to validate that technical outputs meet business needs. Ensure solutions are cost‑effective and appropriate for a K12 international school context. Qualifications Solid experience in a similar role. Experience with relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or similar). Ability to design data models and schemas for reporting. Strong technical skills in data integration (APIs, SQL, CSV, ETL). Proficiency with visualization tools (Looker Studio, Power BI). Proficiency with Python for data manipulation and system integration. Familiarity with cloud automation tools (Microsoft Data Factory, Power Automate). Ability to support and maintain custom dashboards and webapps (Azure, Python, Angular, Bootstrap). Use of Git/version control and documentation for maintainability. Apply data quality assurance practices: cleaning, validating, monitoring pipelines. Shows humility and confidence.
