Company Overview:

SmartEnergy is a privately held renewable energy retailer headquartered in New York, New York. The company has over 225,000 customers and is looking to expand into new markets. They are focused on utilizing technology and people to drive efficiencies and reduce environmental impact.

Position Overview:

The Data Analyst will be responsible for linking data to business partners. Key duties include:

● Acting as a liaison between business owners and technical experts.

● Documenting and analyzing business processes and technical requirements.

● Assessing data sources and making recommendations for the business.

Core Responsibilities:

● Evaluate business processes and identify areas for improvement.

● Develop and implement solutions.

● Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).

● Lead reviews of business processes.

● Document and communicate results.

● Effectively communicate insights and plans to team members.

Reporting, Analysis & Integration:

● Oversee all reporting elements related to marketing, sales, and operations.

● Extract, transform, and summarize data to create reports, narratives, and presentations.

● Work with other analysts and database developers.

● Build, perform, and document protocols for all analysis and reporting programs.

● Create and redesign ETL processes.

Education & Experience:

● Minimum of 3 years' work experience, with 5 years or more preferred.

● Experience with Microsoft SQL tools (3-4 years preferred).

● Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred).

● Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

● Demonstrated analytical skills, advanced knowledge of reporting processes, and systems.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

● Ability to execute and close on multiple ongoing projects without close supervision.

● Advanced technical and documentation skills.

● Advanced to fluent English skills.
