Job Title: FastAPI Development Lead We are seeking an exceptional Python/FastAPI Developer to spearhead the development of scalable APIs for our Reinforcement Learning (RL) Gym project. This role involves collaborating closely with ML researchers to power cutting-edge RL experiments and simulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance FastAPI services that support experimentation workflows and RL simulation environments. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop scalable FastAPI services that integrate with ML research teams Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expose APIs for training, evaluation, and benchmarking Write clean, maintainable Python code adhering to strong coding standards Ensure smooth application deployments and troubleshoot performance issues Requirements: The successful candidate should have at least 3+ years of experience in Python development, including hands-on FastAPI work for high-performance backends, as well as 1+ year of team leadership experience mentoring teams of 5+ developers. Strong ability to review code, give constructive feedback, and maintain high coding standards through PR merges is essential. Excellent ownership mindset with proven ability to identify risks early and manage end-to-end delivery is also required. Expert-level FastAPI knowledge, strong background designing RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and managing full API lifecycles are necessary. Solid understanding of engineering best practices including test automation, CI/CD, Git workflows, and scalable architecture patterns is a plus. Familiarity with NumPy and Pandas; exposure to TensorFlow or PyTorch is a bonus.
