About the Role We are seeking a skilled professional to deliver high-quality software integration between Discourse and an existing Community application. This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to unblock engineers, validate designs, and ensure seamless deployment. Deliver the integration within two development cycles. Implement secure single sign-on using Okta and OIDC, handling tokens and session flows effectively. Create and test mapping between community roles and Discourse groups. Develop backend adapters for moderation, taxonomy, and role syncing, gated behind feature flags. Design and implement consistent UI elements for a cohesive cross-platform experience. Establish and validate webhook pipelines from Discourse into Snowflake for analytics. Develop a comprehensive cutover plan, including checklists and validation steps. Review and create technical designs, threat models, and operational readiness documents. Pair with frontend and backend engineers to integrate adapters, UI components, and test coverage. Coordinate closely with Security and IT on Okta configuration, secrets, and access policies. Collaborate with Data Engineering to finalize webhook schemas, retries, and observability. Support sprint ceremonies, demos, and assist teammates on integration or Ruby-related tasks. Evaluate all deliverables for testing, documentation, and production readiness. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a challenging project that requires collaboration, problem-solving, and effective communication skills.
