**Position overview**:
Ensures the BPNCA accounting functions meets Ball Corporation's overall business plans and objectives. Manages the accounting function in coordination with the US team to ensure compliance with Ball´s Corporation accounting policies and procedures. Coordinates the accounting function for Oasis JV (formerly Cups division).
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Responsible for the completion of the month end closing process, including the preparation, input and review of journal entries for BPNCA division and Oasis JV, in coordination with US-based team. Reviews transactions for inventory/cost accounting, revenue recognition, rebates, accruals, derivatives, intercompany, and other transactions.
- Helps facilitate the creation and review of financial reports, including the Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, and Cash Flow. Analyzes and explains balance sheet fluctuations for the division and the JV. Prepares and reviews reconciliations of material division level balance sheet accounts quarterly (revenue recognition related activity, manufacturing accounting, inventory, incentive compensation, accruals, derivatives, etc.).
- Manages and develops staff, including review of the staff's work to ensure accurate reporting. This includes developing and expanding the team as the business grows to ensure the business is sufficiently supported from an accounting standpoint.
- Performs research on technical accounting topics for complex accounting entries.
- Identifies and implements operational process and internal controls for the new Cups division. Understands and ensures adherence to SOX controls over financial reporting. Acts as a primary liaison to internal and external auditors each quarter and at year-end for financial and SOX related audit requests.
- Reviews and assists in the analysis, preparation, and submission of financial results for the corporate consolidation in accordance with US GAAP.
- Leads divisional projects to better utilize systems and resources in order to drive or support division and JV objectives. This includes supporting new growth initiatives for BPNCA and Oasis JV. Ensure we can correctly
