The Bayer Digital Farming Service group modernizes the agriculture industry with digital tools to help farmers sustainably increase crop yields. We are seeking a passionate Security Engineer to join the product security engineering team to enhance security solutions for our Digital Agriculture platform. In this role you will apply your background in security, software engineering, design, development, testing, and communication to deliver secure, innovative solutions.

You will review, recommend, enhance, and develop security solutions across engineering disciplines and help drive the integration of security controls into Climate’s applications and cloud services platform using a variety of security assessment and automation techniques. You will collaborate with broader Bayer information security programs including Threat & Vulnerability Management, Security Incident Response, Governance, and Compliance.

• Impact the direction of the program and help prioritize work activities of specific areas of the Security team;
• Automate security controls to reduce attack surface, proactively identify vulnerabilities, and decrease response and recovery times;
• Optimize security tool deployments and introduce scalable processes across Product Security and other Engineering capabilities;
• Collaborate with product, design, data analytics, and engineering to define needs that leverage next-generation security controls;
• Drive an efficient Agile process to manage a deep backlog and iteratively enhance security services;
• Provide tools and support for engineers to build simple and secure solutions to complex problems;
• Discuss and present technical matters with business stakeholders;
• Lead the Product Security Engineering team through complex technology issues and high-impact investigations;
• Handle challenging security issues across the organization in collaboration with Engineering teams;
• Guide and mentor junior Security Engineers.

• Extensive experience in security engineering, security programs or project management;
• Proven experience with software development processes;
• Proven experience with application security;
• Ability to program in Python or other languages;
• Security domain expertise;
• Experience in development processes for Software as a Service or Platform as a Service;
• BS, MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent work experience);
• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure and securing cloud-based environments;
• Experience with information security compliance programs (e.g., PCI, ISO 27001, SOC);
• Knowledge of current industry-standard security regulations, policies, and procedures for information systems;
• Software and network security or vulnerability management experience;
• Ability to evangelize and represent a technical community;
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban or similar software development practices;
• Fluency in Portuguese and English for working in a global team;
• Willingness to be based in São Paulo, with some weekly office days expected.
