As a Software Engineer on the Engineering team in Brazil, you will be a member of Uber's development center in LATAM, developing products across Uber and all around the World.

Consumer Merchandising team - Uber started by transporting people from place to place. It now transports nearly anything a customer could want or need, on-demand. Grocery & Retail is one of the largest growth bets for Uber, bringing on-demand grocery delivery to customers of Uber Eats around the world.

You would be joining an exciting engineering team on Uber Grocery, focused on building the best-in-class customer experience. Our team is responsible for building the end-to-end Grocery shopping experience that enables our customers to discover and shop for the merchants and items that they know and love.

Grocery and Retail team - is responsible for ensuring that as we move to transport more than just people & restaurant food, our platform evolves to provide a best-in-class experience for customers, earners and brands.

Storefront team - focuses on providing delightful shopping experiences for consumers and helping them discover items within the Grocery & Retail storefront.

Social and User-Generated Content team - is looking for a motivated and passionate product engineer to help make our app more social. We are creating product experiences for creators to enable them to create great content that can be showcased throughout the whole app. We are building communities of foodies to help people make decisions based on social signals and discussing what's hot in their neighborhood. Some projects launched in the past include video flows for ordering food and restaurant/item lists created by influencers and regular Uber Eats users. We are doing brand-new work to create immersive experiences.

Early User Growth team - is a user-focused growth team working on meeting users where they are through enabling partnerships and designing and enhancing early user experiences. We can do anything, anywhere to bring high-quality, retentive growth to Eats. Help build a platform that enables Uber Eats to scale through integrations with other companies. You'll also work on improving existing partnerships, such as our integration with Instacart.

• Writes high-quality code (i.e., reliable, readable, efficient, testable), provides quality code reviews, and creates comprehensive tests and quality documentation using software engineering principles.
• Participates in on-call rotations and follows best practices to troubleshoot production incidents with some guidance.
• Monitors product quality in the production environment, identifying, triaging and fixing bugs and inefficiencies.

• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, programming and associated programming languages and frameworks (e.g., C, C++, Java, Python or Golang).
• Advanced English.
• Recent bachelor graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field concluded from September/2024 to December/2025.

• Software engineering experience gained through work, education, coursework, training, research or similar in any area.
• Demonstrates the ability to understand and translate requirements to system design.
