Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced JD Edwards Functional Homebuilder Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and expertise in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) with a focus on the Homebuilder industry. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their business requirements, provide strategic guidance, and implement JD Edwards solutions tailored to their needs.


Requirements:

Education:

  • A four-year college degree or 4-6 years of direct experience and certifications.

Experience:

  • Five plus years of experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.x Homebuilder.
  • Experience with JD Edwards World software is a plus.

Skills:

  • Ability to collaborate with clients and managers to interpret and document business requirements.
  • Proficiency in producing functional and technical designs for systems, interfaces, and business applications.
  • Experience in Business Process Optimization.
  • Capable of developing estimates and project plans for configuring homebuilder and real estate management projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
  • Client-focused approach with the ability to work effectively with clients of varying technical expertise in high-pressure and complex environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to various levels of management.

Travel:

  • Ability to travel up to 20% as required.


Job Responsibilities:

Homebuilder Functional Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Project SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Homebuilder projects.
  • Document current business processes to understand existing workflows.
  • Create and modify test scripts to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
  • Test configurations and provide support to business users during testing phases, ensuring their understanding and sign-off.
  • Lead functional support during 'go-live' phases of projects, ensuring a smooth transition to the new system.
  • Provide client support, including handling level 3 issues and resolving them efficiently.
  • Act as the Design Lead for Homebuilder projects, contributing industry expertise and best practices.
  • Obtain relevant industry credentials to enhance expertise and credibility.
  • Provide training and mentoring to junior consultants within the organization.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address underlying issues effectively.

Homebuilder Consultant Responsibilities:

  • Support implementations, upgrades, and managed services clients.
  • Utilize business acumen and JD Edwards knowledge to identify process improvement opportunities, driving efficiencies for clients.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients to foster lasting partnerships and ensure continued success.
  • Mentor and train consultants, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance the team's capabilities.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn independently and receive training from consultants, continuously expanding their skill set and staying abreast of industry developments.
