Join to apply for the Associate Attorney role at W3Global Responsibilities Build case defenses and trial themes autonomously Support national trial and coordinating counsel teams to manage litigation nationwide for large corporate clients Analyze the application of state and federal case law and regulatory law to case facts for pre-trial motions and other submissions Draft original motions and other litigation-related documents on complex matters Prepare and respond to discovery requests to be exchanged with various parties Interview and prepare witnesses for testimony in litigation or before regulatory bodies Take and defend depositions of lay, expert, and corporate representative witnesses Argue motions in court Develop and maintain client relationships through oral and written communication Draft pre-trial reports and perform risk analyses Participate in mediations, status conferences, settlement conferences, and hearings Develop overall strategies for case resolution and solve problems creatively Assign and supervise work for case paralegals Coordinate and potentially manage outside co-defense counsel to negotiate global discovery strategies Negotiate settlements with plaintiffs and other opposing parties Participate in networking opportunities to expand client relationships Demonstrate leadership in the local legal community through bar association involvement and other professional organizations Serve as a resource for other attorneys within the firm's practice areas Provide support to Shareholders, Partners, and Senior Counsel Meet annual billable requirements and comply with the Attorney Timekeeping Policy Qualifications Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school Admission to at least one state bar 1-3 years of litigation experience in a law firm Experience in a billable work environment Background in mass torts, class actions, environmental, commercial litigation, abuse, harassment, discrimination, or other complex risk management matters required Strong client service orientation and experience working directly with clients Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Collaborative mindset with attorneys and other colleagues Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills Superior written and oral communication skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to perform under pressure Commitment to personal and professional development Experience with FileVine or other document management systems preferred Self-motivated with high energy and a willingness to meet deadlines Seniority level Associate Employment type Full-time Job function Legal Industries Staffing and Recruiting #J-18808-Ljbffr
