Financial Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in Capital Markets and on Calypso, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial products across assets.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for establishing a comprehensive and integrated approach to defining, setting up, or troubleshooting issues arising from day-to-day activities on greenfield Calypso instances. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing necessary solutions to Back Office (BO) / Accounting / Operations / Finance requirements;
- Creating and delivering assigned projects/tasks and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements;
- Managing and establishing methodology and best practice for BO / Accounting / Operations / Finance requirements;
- Ensuring supporting documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored;
- Working closely with relevant business and technology stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience working in Capital Markets and on Calypso;
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles;
- Deep knowledge of financial products cross assets;
- Proven track record of delivery of accounting and finance-related solutions within Calypso;
- Experience of adherence to governance frameworks/implementation and handover to BAU;
- Comprehensive knowledge of trade flow, trading systems, and related concepts and technology, including valuation and client/market risk management.
