• Prepare annual reports and business licenses for various states and localities.
• Manage all aspects of property tax compliance, including preparing returns, reviewing assessments, and filing protests on property valuations.
• Prepare tax returns.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations for all transaction tax accounts, including Sales & Use Tax and Property Tax returns.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile monthly data requests and returns for Sales & Use Tax to provide to third-party preparers.
• Prepare tax payment requests for all transaction taxes, ensuring proper account coding.
• Annually prepare budgets related to transaction taxes.
• Respond to tax authority inquiries related to transaction taxes.
• Maintain the transaction tax calendar.
• Assist with IDR requests for transaction tax audits.
• Assist in preparing income and franchise tax workpapers as needed.
• Conduct tax research on transaction tax issues as they arise.
• Perform additional tasks as requested by the Tax Manager or CFO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 3–5 years of experience in a tax department and/or public accounting.
• Experience with transaction tax, including Sales & Use Tax and Property Tax.
• Working knowledge of income and franchise tax preferred.
• Experience researching issues related to tax return preparation.
• Strong commitment to continuous improvement and customer service.
• Experience with Vertex, Oracle, and OneSource tax compliance software a plus.
