Job Description As a Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building a cutting-edge fintech payments platform for a major UK retail group. This position sits at the heart of the cloud platform team and focuses on designing, developing, and automating the core infrastructure that supports high-scale financial transactions. You'll work in a highly technical environment, collaborating with architects, backend engineers, and security teams to deliver secure, resilient, cloud-native foundations. Design and implement scalable, resilient cloud platform components in AWS. Owning Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (modular, reusable architectures). Building secure multi-account AWS environments following Well-Architected principles. Developing internal platform tooling, automation, templates, and golden paths. Supporting EKS/Kubernetes environments and microservice deployment foundations.
