Overview Join to apply for the Senior Data Engineer IRC role at GlobalLogic Latinoamérica 1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicants Description We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team Client’s success and rapid growth are powered by a modern application architecture that uses stateless containers built on Kubernetes. This architecture is hosted across cloud platforms and regions and is managed with Infrastructure-as-Code. We seek a Senior Software Engineer specializing in managing infrastructure and services as code with experience supporting real-time data streaming/serving technologies. The ideal candidate will have industry experience with scaling reliable and secure cloud infrastructure on a global scale and building, designing, and supporting a cloud-based infrastructure stack to push data around efficiently. The candidate will drive infrastructure features as an individual contributor from design to production. We have an existing ETL Pipeline which use Snowflake and Fivetran, so we need someone to ramp up on Fivetran and as long as they are comfortable with Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, we can help them ramp up. Responsibilities Day to day management of Fivetran POC’ing Kafka as a replacement for Fivetran Platform for handling events generated by Auditboard Qualifications Deep understanding of monitoring, networking, and security at the application layer and cloud infrastructure layer 3+ years building and managing real-time data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Flink, Spark) 1+ years working with managed ELT frameworks (e.g. FiveTran, Meltano, AirByte) 5+ years experience working in a system language (e.g. Java, Scala, Python) and SQL 5+ years of software development experience Experience with modern data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) Experience with Docker and running container orchestration systems (Kubernetes) Experience working in Cloud services providers (AWS or Azure) Experience with Infrastructure as Code and other cloud automation tools (e.g. HashiCorp suite) Experience with building observability tooling, dashboards, and alerting for monitoring distributed systems Key Responsibilities Build and maintain reliable, scalable infrastructure using Terraform on public clouds Support our next-generation data pipelines, leveraging tools such as Fivetran, Snowflake, Apache Kafka, Apache Flink (one of these two mandatory) Architect and implement new cloud infrastructure to enable high-performance SaaS applications globally in the cloud Work cross-functionally, be a fantastic collaborator and thrive in our environment Maintain reliability for our production systems to exceed our SLA requirements, part of which is being in an on-call rotation for production issues Help define internal Service Level Objectives and Service Level Indicators for data pipelines and reporting systems to ensure customer commitments are met What we offer Culture of caring.
