We are hiring a Public Cloud Project Manager . This role requires customer relationship management and advocacy for Canonical's technical assets. It offers an opportunity for a technologist passionate about Linux and Project Management to develop a career with Canonical. Ideal candidates will have an affinity for software, excellent communication skills, and a passion for technology, working alongside some of the industry's best at Canonical. The role involves providing account leadership and insight for Canonical's key Tier 1 Enterprise Public Cloud accounts, collaborating with individuals from Software Engineering to Senior Executives. You will manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously, shaping Statements of Work or similar agreements, managing project lifecycles, and ensuring goals for both Canonical and clients are met. Periodic international travel is required, with travel details varying based on company and program needs. Location: This role is remote within the Americas region. Responsibilities include: Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and resources. Identifying and mitigating technical and project risks and issues. Maintaining strong customer focus and collaborating with stakeholders for successful outcomes. Conducting regular status meetings and business reviews with clients. Managing delivery schedules of third-party deliverables. Managing cross-organization engineering requests outside existing contracts. Advocating Canonical's technologies to customers. Qualifications: Proven experience in IT Cloud, software development project management, or similar roles. Deep understanding of Linux, open source, and the public cloud space. Software engineering experience. Excellent English communication skills. Experience leading remote, cross-cultural teams and clients. Strong negotiation and influencing skills. Bachelor's degree in a STEM field. Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP). Agile/Scrum certification (e.g., Scrum Master). Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
