Tableau Server Administrator

ITTConnect is seeking a qualified individual to work remotely as a Tableau Server Administrator for a client in the US. This is a long-term position with a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology, and engineering services present in nearly 50 countries.

Job location: Remote, work from home anywhere in Brazil.

Only resumes in English will be reviewed. All interviews will be conducted in English (candidates must be fluent).

The successful candidate will have experience setting up and configuring Tableau servers on various on-premises and cloud platforms, including AWS. They will also have expertise in server upgrades and parameter changes, connecting Tableau to different data sources, extracting data from these sources, managing user permissions, security, and access within Tableau environments, troubleshooting performance issues, and optimizing dashboards.

  • At least 10 years of IT experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Tableau Servers
  • Strong understanding of Tableau architecture, including workbooks, data sources, extract refresh schedules, and server maintenance
  • Knowledge of Tableau Server features, including scheduling, content management, and server configuration
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) to troubleshoot data-related issues
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or batch scripting for automating administrative tasks is a plus
  • Understanding of data governance concepts and experience implementing data security measures in Tableau
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS) is a plus but not required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to explain and understand problems effectively
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills
  • Time zone: Pacific Time Zone preferred, but flexibility is possible
