We're working in one of the most important sectors for the global economy: maritime shipping.

Nearly every person is affected by stuff shipping on the seas, whether it's energy, raw ore, or wind turbines. But the industry itself is antiquated and archaic, it's hampered by paperwork and bureaucracy.

We're a seven year old startup, with strong revenue growth, several F100 customers, and strong VC backing. We're building software solutions to make maritime shipping easier and more cost-effective, and we need your help in testing and verifying our solutions.

You will help us at the start and through to the end of the development process: defining what needs to be tested, writing automated tests (e2e,api, etc), and verifying delivery. You will also help with manual and automated testing of our legacy systems.

Responsibilities

  • Understand testing and business requirements by collaborating with stakeholders, including end users and developers.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated tests, primarily using Playwright.
  • Execute manual test cases for exploratory and regression testing.
  • Perform API testing using, e.g., Postman.
  • Contribute to and improve our CI/CD testing pipelines.
  • Investigate, triage, and report bugs; verify fixes in production
  • Maintain test documentation and help improve our QA processes.

Requirements

  • Intellectual curiosity and interest in maritime shipping.
  • Desire to talk to and get close to customers, end users, developers, designers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in software testing with automated tests, including in a B2B SaaS product.
  • Experience with Playwright or similar frameworks (e.g. Cypress).
  • Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools, git, and modern development workflows.
  • Experience with AWS, and containerized environments (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Fluency in English and strong written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent analytic skills and attention to detail.
