Job Description Our Client is seeking a Part-Time Licensed Structural Engineer to support ongoing structural design projects. This position is fully remote and offers a flexible schedule, ideal for professionals managing multiple projects or clients. Responsibilities Provide structural calculations, drawings, and documentation for various building types. Review and approve plans to ensure compliance with California Building Code and seismic requirements. Collaborate with drafters and internal team members to coordinate project details. Deliver efficient engineering solutions while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Work on a project-by-project basis, with availability for approximately 10 hours per week. Communicate project updates directly with the client as needed. Required Experience and Qualifications Active Structural Engineer (SE) or Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of California. Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering design. Strong knowledge of California Building Code and Title 24. Proficiency with AutoCAD; ability to review Revit drawings is a plus. Solid understanding of seismic and load analysis principles. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently. Preferred Skills Experience with both residential and commercial building projects. Knowledge of local permitting and documentation processes. Familiarity with collaboration tools and cloud-based document sharing. Personality Responsible, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. Proactive and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision. Adaptable, reliable, and results-driven. Software & Tools Structural design and analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS) Revit (review only, not required for daily use) Schedule 9-1 PST Salary and Benefits Part-time, fully remote position with flexible hours (approximately 10 hours per week).
