What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Identify, solicit, underwrite, and sell new and renewal accounts to drive profitable growth
  • Apply advanced technical, sales, and analytical skills to provide insurance solutions
  • Manage an assigned portfolio to achieve profitability and growth goals
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with agencies and internal resources
  • Conduct sales presentations and provide training to agents on products and services
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-7+ years of underwriting experience
  • 5-7+ years of experience in managing agency relationships for profitable business
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience in high hazard product liability underwriting
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to mentor less experienced colleagues
  • Familiarity with advanced underwriting concepts and pricing methodologies
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and advocate for new ideas
  • Proven track record of driving agency growth and enhancing business relationships
