Crossing Hurdles, a recruitment firm, is seeking a Bilingual Portuguese Legal Expert for a remote, hourly contract position.
Position : Bilingual Portuguese Legal Expert
Type : Hourly Contract
Compensation : $35–$55/hour
Location : Remote
Duration : ~2 months
Commitment : Minimum 20 hours/week
Role ResponsibilitiesTraining support will be provided.
- Develop legal content by translating, adapting, and synthesizing complex legal practices in Brazil, reflecting region-specific laws, processes, and terminology.
- Write fluently in both Brazilian Portuguese and English, ensuring precise legal terminology and nuanced expression across languages.
- Provide cultural insights specific to the Brazilian legal system.
- Collaborate with reviewers and peers to refine content, validate accuracy, and align outputs with standard legal practices in Brazil.
- Native-level fluency in Brazilian Portuguese and strong written and spoken English.
- Advanced degree in Law.
- Strong Experience in practicing law in Brazil.
- Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in content creation.
- Experience with assessment and rubric development.
- Familiarity with generative AI models or machine learning concepts.
