The Software Engineer II is responsible for the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications and systems using Java or web development programming languages (e.g. Angular, CSS, Javascript). Should demonstrate expertise in coding, and software development best practices.

• Analyze requirements/ user stories to appropriately support design activities
• Perform all technical aspects of software development for our applications including, developing prototypes and writing new code / API's, web development
• Function as an active member of an agile team through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and documentation)
• Produce software builds from software source code
• Conduct integration tests as defined in the test specifications, including event logging and reporting of results
• Perform unit and assembly testing of software components including the design, implementation, evaluation, and execution of unit and assembly test scripts
• Conduct code reviews and tests of automated build scripts
• Debug software components, identifies, fixes and verifies remediation of code defects (own work and the work of others)
• Identify opportunities to adopt innovative technologies
• Provides continuous support for ongoing production application availability
• Work with product owners to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and manage a list of technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issues

• 3-5 years of strong experience with full-stack development
• Good understanding of Object Oriented Programming and Design principles including abstraction, inheritance, polymorphism and encapsulation
• Experience with the full lifecycle of software development including use of version control tools, build management, unit testing, issue tracking software (e.g. SVN, Microsoft Visual Studio, JIRA)
• Excellent organizational skills, self-administration, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and effective prioritization
• Required Experience with below technologies:
• Java 8 or higher
• RESTful services
• Kubernetes
• HTML5
• AngularJS/NodeJS
• MS SQL
• Jira and Confluence
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex systems and situations and troubleshoot issues
• Problem solving skills, critical thinking and good decision-making skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal interactions (ability to foster a cooperative work environment)
