Senior Software Engineer (Java, FIX Protocol) We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in Quarkus and the FIX protocol. This role involves leading development efforts, guiding junior and mid-level developers, ensuring product quality, validating integrations, and driving technical decisions. The Senior Java Developer will play a key role in architecture discussions, mentoring, and delivering high-performance, secure financial services applications. What You’ll Do Lead the design, development, and deployment of applications in Java + Quarkus Drive implementation and validation of FIX protocol integrations across systems Ensure adherence to best practices in automated testing and maintain high code quality standards Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and code reviews for mid-level and junior developers Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to align solutions with business and technical requirements Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues Contribute to architectural discussions and propose improvements in performance, scalability, and security What You Bring 8+ years of hands-on experience with Java (11+) Deep expertise with Quarkus (RESTEasy, Panache, MicroProfile) Strong experience with FIX protocol integrations Proven experience leading development teams and performing code reviews Solid understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture Experience with SQL and relational databases Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices Nice to have Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS) Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes Experience with QA frameworks (Cucumber, Selenium, or Cypress) Cloud exposure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Location Legal & Hiring Information Exadel is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to inclusion across minority, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, and more Reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions Please note: this job description is not exhaustive.
