**Why work for Brennan?**We are a national company with a reputation for delivering technical excellence, innovation and high-quality service to the mid-market and have backed up that statement by winning the #1 Managed Service Provider in Australia for the past 10 years in a row.**Brennan IT benefits include**:- A strong culture underpinned by values that are truly lived every day.- Salaries are pegged to the Australian dollar.- Flexible working is part of our DNA - We have adopted a hybrid working model and we encourage working from home and office as it seems ideal.- Proven career progression opportunities, we are passionate about helping our people unlock their potential and grow across different capabilities.- Diversity is a strength, and we love having people from diverse backgrounds and experiences, for example, we have employees from over 30 different countries - that is just one attribute, talk to us about our other diverse people**Full Job Description****Key Responsibilities**:- Contribute towards the organisation's financial strategy and serve as a key point for all financial accounting.- Prepare management accounts, the group consolidated statements and reporting.- Streamline operational workflows and process automation.- Effective stewardship of financial resources.- Fulfil fiduciary and statutory requirements.- Provide reliable, sound short medium and long-term strategies to sustain the viability.- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.- Prepare group consolidated statements multi-currency.- Prepare budgets and management reports forecast costs and revenues.- Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations, monitor and report on accounting discrepancies.- Organise internal and external audit processes.- Ensure records and accounts are maintained in accordance with accounting standards and policies.- Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities) and manage tax payments.**Required Background and Skills**:- Completion of secondary education.- BSc Degree or equivalent in Accounting /Finance or related field.- Qualified Chartered Accountant-ACCA/Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka is mandatory.- Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role in the field of financial accounting.- 2-3 years audit experience is an added advantage.- Knowledge in SLFRS, IFRS and group consolidation is mandatory.- Experience in MYOB, Sage intacct, Advanced Proficiency in MS Excel is desirable.- Excellent math skills with an attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.- Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyse financial reports and forecasts.- A highly organised individual with strong time management skills.- A strong work ethic with demonstrable experience in Finance.- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to build strong professional relationships.- A good understanding of Accounting/Bookkeeping.- Quick learning of company functions, roles and how they relate to day-to-day work.- Coverage during Sydney business hours (9am - 5pm AEST).
