***GET TO KNOW OUR AREA**:
The Camaçari Site is based inside the Camaçari Petrochemical Complex, a location chosen due to the availability of raw materials and equipment, infrastructure for waste treatment, tax benefits and labor qualified work. On the site, we produce intermediate glyphosate (GI), called PIA (N-Phosphonomethylimino Diacetic Acid), and we serve customers in Brazil and Argentina markets. We also supply other companies in the hub with some by-products obtained from the manufacture of hydrochloric acid (HCL) and molecular hydrogen (H2).
The construction of the site in Camaçari, Bahia, started in 1999 and the start of operations took place two years later, in October 2001. The unit is of strategic importance to Bayer due to its continuous contribution to the global supply of intermediate glyphosate, keeping the Roundup chain always supplied.
In the community, we carry out a series of actions with the aim of boosting economic growth local, in addition to carrying out philanthropic actions that benefit hundreds of families. We operate in the cities of Camaçari, Dias d'Ávila and Salvador, promoting lectures, workshops, environmental education, receiving technical visits to the factory and participating in groups and committees with representatives of the civil and government community.

**YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO**:
- Responsible for methodologies for hazard identification, evaluation and mitigation;
- Measurement of evaluation criteria for safety and protection quality;
- Management of local governamental processes regarding HSE aspects;
- Accountable for the oversight of quality processes (e.g. GMP/GDP/ISO) and their implementation within the quality cluster / country / site (including e.g., transportation, warehousing, technical complaint handling & quality related issue management, local contract manufacturing and market release - if applicable);
- Responsible for an HSE management system including, in particular, processes like auditing, performance evaluation and a continuous improvement cycle as well as for the Quality Management System, identifying gabs and ensuring mitigation measures;
- Drives continuous optimization of processes and unit operations concerning safety, environmental protection and HSE compliance as well as quality measuresin the country cluster or between sites, striving for efficiency;
- Member of leadership teams (e.g., country LT, QMR) and responsible for the management of HSE and quality topics in the respective country / at the site / in the function;
- Coordination for HSE processes and activities on country/site level as, for instance, Audits Workshops / Trainings Projects / M&A; Divestments Incident investigations ;
- Serves as an interface to the SBR and Quality International department for the whole quality cluster (if applicable);
- Leadership, recruiting and development of employees for their teams (if applicable);
- Community Management within BAYER as well as in appropriate external Networks.
**ARE YOU READY FOR THE POSITION?**
Mandatory: University degree in Natural Sciences, Pharmacy or Engineering (Master or equivalent);
Mandatory: Direct people leadership;
knowledge (GMP/GDP/IS) and knowledge of HSE processes is mandatory;
Fluent Portuguese and Advanced English mandatory;
Desirable: Spanish is a plus;
Desirable: Relevant professional business experience;
