Position: Baseball Annotation & Analysis Expert Type: Contract Compensation: $25–$35/hour Location: Remote Role Responsibilities Review and refine AI-generated baseball video annotations including play calls, fielding actions, and pitch outcomes. Label and validate events such as pitches, hits, fielding plays, base running, and scoring sequences. Verify timing accuracy between video clips and described actions (e.g., pitch release, contact, tag, throw). Ensure contextual precision, identifying subtle differences (e.g., sacrifice fly vs. routine flyout). Provide structured, objective feedback to improve AI understanding of baseball-specific terminology and sequences. Collaborate asynchronously with researchers and engineers to enhance model training data quality. Qualifications Must-Have Deep familiarity with baseball—through playing, coaching, umpiring, scouting, or analytical experience. Solid understanding of rules, player positioning, and play terminology (e.g., double plays, balks, bunts, stolen bases). High attention to detail and ability to describe baseball sequences precisely and consistently. Comfortable working independently on remote data annotation platforms. Preferred Prior experience with AI training, data labeling, or video annotation tools. Recognition or certification in baseball (e.g., collegiate athlete, MLB-affiliated, USA Baseball certification). Experience with sports analytics, video review systems, or scouting software (e.g., TrackMan, Synergy, or Statcast).
