Overview We are seeking an experienced Delayed Coker/Visbreaker Engineering Specialist to join the Operations Engineering Solutions Department (OESD). The team provides high‑quality, multidisciplinary support to global manufacturing facilities, including Saudi refineries and petrochemical plants. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive performance reviews of existing delayed coker/visbreaker facilities and analyze KPIs related to operability, profitability, reliability, and process safety. Develop and present quarterly benchmarking reports with actionable improvement recommendations. Provide hands‑on support in implementing performance improvement initiatives, demonstrating measurable results. Lead benchmarking and best‑practice workshops among global manufacturing facilities, facilitating knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Deliver on‑demand remote and field technical advisory support, including troubleshooting, optimization, debottlenecking, revamp, and upgrade activities, and provide detailed service reports. Drive performance improvement programs that enhance process safety, optimize manufacturing costs, and increase plant reliability. Develop and implement best practices and standards for delayed coker/visbreaker engineering and maintenance, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations. Provide expert technical support to project teams and contractors for engineering and procurement activities. Coordinate with other disciplines (process, mechanical, instrumentation, electrical) to ensure optimal performance and integration. Conduct regular audits and inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and innovations for improvement and optimization. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred. Minimum 15 years of experience in refinery and/or petrochemical industry, with at least 10 years of hands‑on experience in delayed coker/visbreaker specialty. Demonstrated ability to optimize delayed coker/visbreaker operations with specific examples of performance improvements. Comprehensive knowledge of delayed coker/visbreaker processes, equipment, and systems. Deep understanding of ASME Section VIII Divisions, API, NFPA standards applicable to fired equipment. Significant experience in inspection and failure analysis of delayed coker/visbreaker equipment. Proficiency in basic and advanced NDE techniques related to delayed coker/visbreaker equipment. High proficiency in engineering and design software (Aspen Hysys, ANSYS, HTRI). Knowledge of remaining life calculations for heater tubes and refractory design and repair. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to prepare and present technical reports. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, able to work independently and collaboratively.
