Job Description

Position Activities

  1. Maintain automation systems, prepare technical documentation, perform software programming, testing, and commissioning at customer facilities.
  2. Provide offshore field services and systems engineering for process and safety systems, HMI, instrumentation, and networks.
  3. Design moderate to complex architectures for new projects and analyze existing systems for intervention.
  4. Manage all development stages of automation systems: requirements gathering, detailed design, software programming, factory testing, and commissioning at customer sites.

Requirements

  1. Experience as an Industrial Automation Maintenance Engineer with Rockwell Automation products in the oil and gas industry (PowerFlex, Drives, Logix Platform, PLC application development, industrial networks, etc.).
  2. Experience in field installation and commissioning of automation systems and networks.
  3. Prior experience in oil and gas automation projects or related areas.
  4. Proficiency in English, both oral and written.

Education

  • Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Technician (Industrial Automation, Electronics, Electrical, or equivalent).

Experience

  • Mandatory: Strong knowledge of Rockwell Automation products.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • CREA certification.
  • Residency in Rio de Janeiro/RJ region.
  • Availability for offshore work: on call for 14/21 days depending on the project.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Knowledge of industrial networks including Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, etc.
  • Willingness to travel and work at customer sites.
  • Ability to work offshore and handle high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent face-to-face customer interaction skills.
