In this role you will: Develop efficient and high-performance code Work on POCs, small development/enhancement projects Develop both front-end and back-end components Integrate user-facing elements into applications Design and innovate technologies and solutions for effective resource allocation, automated application deployment and zero downtime upgrades and maintenance Collaborate within the Agile framework, foster a team approach to software development and delivery Work with other teams to understand scope and design efficient solution Improve functionality of existing systems Assist in release/deployment planning and execution activities Provide documentation as required and participate in code reviews, planning sessions and routine status stand-ups Provide accurate level of effort time estimates and provide recommendations for feature prioritization Coordinate with internal teams to understand requirements and provide technical solutions Coordinate with client and provide status regularly Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team Mandatory Skills Strong experience in Drupal 8 and Drupal 9 development: Custom Modules Custom Themes Experience with Drupal Migrate Framework and content migration. Ability to write custom source, process, and destination plugins for migration. Knowledge of updating Drupal and contrib modules for minor and major versions. Hands-on experience with Git workflow, Composer, and Drush (including custom commands). Solid understanding of PHP coding standards, Drupal best practices, and semantic versioning. Knowledge of Drupal 8/9 features: Configuration Management Layout Builder Accessibility Caching Content Moderation Experience writing unit tests and familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (Behat/Gherkin). Experience with Headless Drupal (RESTful Web Services, JSON API, GraphQL). Understanding of secure authentication practices (OAuth). Problem-solving skills and experience with web application security. Strong team collaboration skills. Experiencine with conducting session or traning on Drupal or any other technology at any internal or external forums Convencing and presentation skills, experience with architectural diagrams with tools like draw.io Understanding of Agile and tools like Jira Understanding of Security best practices (e.g. using IAM Roles, KMS, etc.) Experience developing unit tests to maximize code coverage Exposure to GitHub, webpack and NPM Hands‑on experience with any NoSQL Database Exposure to Life Science domain clients Understanding other architectures/frameworks/technologies Good communication skills—written and verbal Ability to work as part of a team, understanding problems from another team member's perspective, and, at times go beyond the job description to achieve a broader team goal.
