**Geosolutions Geophysicist**:Rio de Janeiro - BrazilThe Geosolutions Geophysicist is responsible for contributing expertise in various acquisition and processing techniques and geophysics, and an understanding of interpretation and inversion.Roles and Responsibilities:- Processing of seismic data, including testing, quality control and production work- Manage big data and cloud compute- Work closely with internal and external clients- Generate intermediate and final deliverables- Attend internal and external meetings- Communicate and present resultsAdditional Responsibilities:- Interface consistently with customers and advise them regarding processing parameters.- Process data using the appropriate technology and software.- Ensure that processed data is delivered to customers on schedule.- Define, build and submit test jobs, interpret test results, provide recommendations on parameters and recommend further testing, if required.- Validate the accuracy and efficiency of all testing and production job sequences.- Keep abreast of developments within seismic data processing and communication and data transfer techniques.- Investigate and report on problems encountered during the course of seismic data processing.- Mentor junior staff.- Assist the Project Leader with daily project and personnel management, including velocity picking and quality control. Organize and delegate work.- Forecast resource requirements and report project status.- Archive projects.Preferred Qualifications:- Bsc/MSc in Geophysics or similar field with geophysical experienceDesirable skillsTechnical:- Experience with OBN processing including pre-processing and velocity model building- Experience in pre-salt basin and/or similar geology- Preferably Omega and petrel experience- Minimum 5 years of seismic processing experience including testing, quality control and production workSoft Skills:- Good communication in Portuguese and English- Ability to work with a big team and integrate well the tasks- Good management hybrid working (home office and presential)- Good time management- Possess strong problem solving and inter-personal skills, working closely and collaboratively with colleagues and clients- Schlumberger is an equal employment opportunity employer.
