Senior Cloud Engineer Role About This Job We are seeking a seasoned cloud expert to lead our enterprise customer projects and collaborate with other team members. This is a well-compensated remote opportunity that can be done from anywhere in the world. Lead infrastructure design discussions with other teams, including business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and software developers. Design and implement complex Kubernetes deployments in AWS environments. Perform security reviews and document findings and recommendations. Implement infrastructure as code and maintain cloud infrastructure using best practices. Facilitate deployments of our enterprise IAM solution in customer environments. Optimize and scale containerized applications and cloud resources. Troubleshoot complex production issues. Stay up to date with new emerging threats and vulnerabilities. Be available for 24/7 on-call rotation to respond to critical security incidents, though call volume is expected not to be frequent. Participate in customer meetings - both pre-sales and post-sales. Mentor junior engineers and review their work. Required Skills and Qualifications Your Profile 5+ years experience with AWS infrastructure. 5+ years of experience with Terraform. 5+ years experience with Kubernetes in production environments. 5+ years of experience in security of infrastructure and networks as well as operating system hardening. Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management in large-scale environments - both at the infrastructure and application levels. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows. Advanced knowledge of cloud architecture patterns and security-in-depth principles. Proven experience implementing high-availability and disaster recovery solutions. Knowledge of both Linux and Windows Server operating systems. Practical familiarity with threat modeling and threat identification techniques. Excellent English – written and verbal. Service-oriented and customer-centric mindset. Great level of autonomy. Benefits Nice to Have: BSc or MSc in any relevant IT field. Strong automation and scripting knowledge (Python, Bash). Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation. Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, AWS Security Specialty). Experience with container security and Kubernetes security practices. Experience with multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience building and optimizing observability systems.
