Contract Type: Freelance / B2B / Contract (Candidates must be based in Brazil)


Summary:


In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to optimize data processes, ensuring the efficient collection, transformation, and storage of large datasets.


How You’ll Make an Impact


You will be responsible for:


  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines to support data integration, transformation, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure the successful delivery of data engineering projects.
  • Implement best practices for data architecture, data modelling, and data quality to ensure the integrity and reliability of the data.
  • Utilize AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) to build and maintain infrastructure as code for data-related services on the AWS platform.
  • Implement and optimize data storage solutions using technologies such as Snowflake and Aurora.
  • Collaborate with the development team on Python backend development, ensuring seamless integration between data engineering and application layers.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, addressing issues promptly to maintain data availability and performance.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and cloud computing.



What You Bring (Skills, Capabilities)


  • Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer, with a focus on designing and implementing data solutions on complex transformation projects.
  • Strong proficiency in AWS services, with hands-on experience using AWS CDK for infrastructure as code.
  • Extensive experience with Snowflake and Aurora for data storage and processing.
  • Solid background in Python backend development.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
