Responsibilities- The Architect establishes and maintains enterprise and/or domain-level architecture through planning, design, execution, and operation. Develop and implement standards and practices to realize and sustain the application technology stack in alignment with architectural plans. Provide expert consultation to inform strategic and tactical technology decisions (web and app servers, performance tuning, backup/recovery, high availability of application clusters). Cultivate a scalable, extensible, interoperable, and adaptable IT ecosystem aligned with the organization's goals.
- Lead the ServiceNow platform by providing technical leadership, owning and enforcing technical governance, collaborating with a dynamic team, engaging with stakeholders, and overseeing program management to ensure successful delivery and continuous improvement of ServiceNow solutions.
- Translate business requirements into system qualities that yield repeatable design strategies and patterns for tactical projects in collaboration with project teams.
- Identify and define integration opportunities, select tools, specify shared data and code resources, define interfaces and data flows, and monitor integration success for tactical projects.
- Develop, institute, and maintain IT design methodology, development process methodology, technology standards, and best practices.
- Provide oversight to ensure compliance with architectural standards and practices across planning, execution, and operation.
- Lead the evaluation of new technology for potential integration into the existing IT environment.
- Develop, institute, and maintain the design and metadata repository for integrating architectural models.
- Survey external developments and evangelize new technologies, standards, and methodologies.
- Provide expert guidance on tactical projects/initiatives and provide training, coaching, and knowledge transfer to team members.
- General and administrative tasks as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Natural Sciences & Mathematics or a related discipline
- 10 years of experience in IT
- ServiceNow certifications (ServiceNow Architect, ServiceNow Application Developer, Implementation Specialist)
- Proficient in English; strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent documentation and communication skills and ability to explain complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience developing detailed architecture models, design, executable plans and documentation
- Experience with RFPs, vendor assessments, and contract reviews
- Knowledge of IT governance, operations, and administration
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
