Overview

Sr Accountant role at Motorola Solutions. This position is a hybrid role requiring 3-4 days in the office; the first 2 months onsite for onboarding and training. Candidate MUST reside in Buenos Aires.

Argentina Accounting and Finance Area

Responsibilities
  • Performs accounting entry, reconciliation, analysis and reporting functions within the organization.
  • Prepares blocks of financial data for entry into general ledger.
  • Compiles and analyzes financial data for specific products, operating units, regions, or business lines.
  • May participate in analytical exercises with internal or external auditors.
  • Monthly/quarterly balance sheet review with region accounting manager.
  • Improve balance sheet health and reconciliation quality.
  • Closing accounts for Argentina, issue solving and late entry review/submission.
  • Annual audit attendance and balance sheet preparation.
  • Prepare tax calculations and analyses.
  • Ensure practice compliance with no exposure.
  • Provide accounting guidance to business/finance for existing business.
  • Financial report fluctuation analysis for owned region.
  • Respond to government requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Project support on new business/processes.
Basic Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Oracle experience preferred.
  • International background preferred.
  • US GAAP knowledge recommended.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Strong knowledge of taxes and internal control.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • At least intermediate level of English (spoken).
  • Familiar with Oracle.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
