Automation Specialist Job Description: Automation Specialists are sought after for remote roles that involve ensuring the uptime and reliability of automated machinery. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring systems via cloud dashboards, PLC access, and on-machine interfaces. Key Responsibilities: Remotely monitor TARGAN systems via cloud dashboards, PLC access, and on-machine interfaces. Provide real-time technical support to field technicians via communication tools. Analyze hatchery performance data and participate in global team meetings to share insights and best practices. Escalate issues impacting customer operations, coordinating with internal engineering teams. Support ongoing refinement and optimization of control and electrical systems. Requirements and Qualifications: Proven ability to troubleshoot PLCs remotely and interpret electrical schematics. Solid understanding of electro-mechanical systems, Ethernet networks, and industrial fieldbus protocols (EtherCAT, Modbus TCP). Familiarity with industrial control languages and HMI systems. Experience with tools such as AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical. Strong communication skills and collaboration across technical and field teams.
