What the Infra Engineering Team Does

The Infra Engineering team supports Deel's engineering growth by building a platform for product teams to ship business value faster. We sit at the edge between DevOps and engineering, enforcing standards and best practices, creating tooling, maintaining internal libraries, providing architectural guidance, owning high-loaded core services, and responding to production incidents when needed. It’s 70% Engineering and 30% DevOps. We have a lot of freedom, but it also comes with responsibility.

Who are we looking for?

• 5+ years of experience in engineering
• Strong Node.js knowledge
• AWS or similar cloud experience
• Kubernetes, Helm and Docker knowledge
• Experience with Postgres/MySQL, RabbitMQ/Nats/Kafka
• Strong system design and problem solving skills; we often deal with the “unknown”
• Strong communication skills; we orchestrate projects with 20+ teams
• Hands-on troubleshooter
• Ready for challenges

Extra brownie points

• Experience building internal tooling: npm packages, frameworks
