Your role and responsibilities
The Blue Studio design practice is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Prompt Engineer Designer to join our team and contribute with our Imagery team. This role combines expertise in design and generative AI technologies to create visually compelling, on-brand assets. The ideal candidate will be a designer with a deep understanding of generative AI tools, such as Adobe Firefly, and the ability to develop optimized prompts that yield high-quality outputs across various media formats.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Use generative AI tools to develop on-brand images and creative assets.
- Craft and refine detailed prompts to ensure outputs consistently meet design requirements.
- Collaborate with marketing strategists, designers, content writers, and brand teams to understand project goals and ensure assets align with the company’s visual identity.
- Research and experiment with generative AI tools to push creative boundaries and stay ahead of design trends.
- Review and refine outputs generated by AI tools, ensuring the highest quality and brand consistency.
- Create and maintain a library of prompt templates, workflows, and best practices to streamline future projects.
- Collaborate to help others integrate and effectively utilize generative tools in their workflows.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide innovative ideas for using generative AI to elevate our creative efforts.
- Bring abstract concepts to life through typography, illustration, iconography and photography.
- Deep understanding of IBM’s business strategies and goals.
- Command of IBM brand’s vision, systems, and documentation.
- Contribute to style guides, and other design documents as needed.
- Work with senior design team members to establish priority, fidelity and delivery of tasks.
- Effectively communicate conceptual ideas and detailed design rationale both verbally and visually.
- Ensure quality control and outcomes.
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- Proven experience in using generative AI tools to produce creative assets.
- Proven ability to create optimized prompts for generative AI tools, with a portfolio featuring AI-generated designs (image, illustration, 3D, etc.).
- Designing experiences in all media.
- Using knowledge of grids, typography, graphic design, color, layout, iconography, images and design patterns and systems to solve ambiguous and complex problems and projects.
- Problem solving and idea generation, effectively visualizing and creating concepts into final products.
- Investigating, innovating and developing creative trends with an emphasis on brand experience and design.
- Actively seek feedback and review work; accept and act on creative/technical direction.
- Recognize a well-conceived and elaborate design.
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Applications: Adobe Creative Suite (highly proficient), Figma, MS Office (.PPT), Github
- Familiarity with generative AI tools - Adobe Firefly, Stable Diffusion, MidJourney, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of storytelling and an interest in communicating visually.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and time management.
- Collaboration with others - stakeholders, technical teams, partners and other designers.
