About Us

AMX Healthcare is building a new SaaS platform to transform how healthcare staffing is managed—connecting clients, contractors, and job opportunities with speed and compliance. We’re investing in AI to streamline recruiting, automate data flows, and surface insights from our knowledge base (resumes, job descriptions, Confluence, ATS/CRM, etc.).


Role Overview

We’re hiring an AI Engineer – Data & Automation to design and build intelligent systems that bring structure, insight, and automation to our staffing workflows. You’ll turn unstructured data (resumes, job descriptions, documents, chats) into actionable intelligence using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) , document intelligence , and structured extraction . This is a founding role to develop and own the AI function —defining architecture, best practices, and solutions that become foundational for our platform and business.

  • Decision speed: Live Sheets/Excel/Power BI replaces weekly spreadsheet marathons.
  • Platform rigor: MLOps, observability, and cost governance keep AI stable, safe, and affordable.


What You’ll Build

  • Document AI pipelines: OCR → classify → extract → validate → post for licenses, immunizations, I-9s, background checks, timesheets, and offers. Enforce strict JSON schemas, confidence scores, and text-span provenance.
  • Compliance automation: Primary-source license checks, date/format rules, name/DOB matching, immunization logic, and timesheet math (REG/OT).
  • Workflow integrations: Event-driven APIs/webhooks across Applicant Tracking Systems , healthcare compliance platforms , job boards , CRM/Marketing systems (e.g., HubSpot or Salesforce ), and Task Management Tools (e.g., Jira, Zoom Tasks).
  • Text message (SMS) automation: AI-assisted campaigns and cadences (opt-in, nurture, reactivation) triggered from ATS/CRM events; personalize copy, schedule sends, ingest replies/MMS docs, and auto-log to the system of record.
  • Comms → system of record: Integrate VoIP/SMS (e.g., RingCentral, TextUs, BeeTexting) with ATS/Compliance to auto-log activity, attach files, and trigger workflows.
  • Customer support & knowledge base automation: Zendesk + knowledge base workflows—AI triage/routing, macro suggestions, agent-assist via RAG with citations, chatbot deflection, and SLA dashboards.
  • Marketing & CMS automation: Content workflows with Jasper AI ; landing/job content in HubSpot CMS , Webflow , or WordPress .
  • Pay package automation: Bill rates + stipends + guaranteed hours → weekly packages with audit trails.
  • Finance, accounting & payroll automation (required): Integrations with QuickBooks Online or Xero and payroll tools to:
  • Generate invoices from approved time, bill rates, and contract terms; handle credits/adjustments.
  • Sync AR/AP, post journal entries, reconcile payments; surface exceptions for review.
  • Automate payroll prep from timesheets and pay packages; route exceptions to HITL queues with full auditability.
  • Knowledge assistants: RAG chatbots over Confluence/SharePoint/Drive/ATS/CRM with permissions, citations, and human-in-the-loop review.
  • Live reporting: Streams to Google Sheets , Excel , and Power BI for exceptions, credential heatmaps, ready-to-work rosters, AR aging, and payroll variance.


MLOps & Platform

  • Dataset/prompt/embedding versioning; golden test sets; offline/online evals; A/B tests.
  • CI/CD for data and models; rollbacks; feature flags; latency/reliability SLOs; canary/blue-green.
  • Durable orchestration and state (idempotency, retries/backoff, dead-letter handling).
  • Observability (traces/metrics/cost), drift detection, PII/HIPAA redaction, RBAC, audit logs.
  • Cost governance: token/throughput controls, caching/TTL, embedding reuse, batching, FinOps reporting.


Must-Have

  • Strong software engineering in Python and/or C# .
  • Hands-on LLM/RAG (embeddings, retrieval, prompt design, evaluation).
  • Document ingestion at scale (PDF/HTML/images), schema’d extraction, validation.
  • Secure, auditable data design (HIPAA/PII ), APIs/webhooks, event-driven workflows.
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems (ATS/Compliance/Job Boards/HubSpot /Salesforce ).
  • Experience integrating QuickBooks Online or Xero and payroll tools for automated invoicing/payroll with audit trails.
  • MLOps fundamentals: data/model versioning, CI/CD, monitoring, rollback.


Nice-to-Have

  • Healthcare staffing/credentialing domain.
  • Resume parsing APIs (Sovren, Textkernel, Affinda) or document intelligence services.
  • iPaaS/workflow tools (Zapier/Make), queues, human-in-the-loop review UIs.
  • Deploying AI apps on managed cloud (AKS/App Service or equivalents).
  • Information retrieval, knowledge graphs, or NLP research background.
  • Prior work on compliance-heavy systems (healthcare, finance, government).
  • Zendesk automation; Jasper AI content ops; CMS automation (HubSpot CMS, Webflow, WordPress).
  • Contributions to open-source AI/LLM frameworks or a strong portfolio of shipped AI projects.
