You’re looking for a company where you can keep growing professionally and directly influence technical excellence.You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.- 5+ years of experience in back-end development using Ruby on Rails.- Strong experience with AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, and API Gateway.- Hands-on experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments.- Solid understanding of serverless architectures and AWS Lambda functions.- Experience designing and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs.- Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, and background job frameworks (Sidekiq, Resque).- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies, and proficiency using Jira and Confluence for project tracking.- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.- Experience with microservices, GoLang, or Node.Js for complementary service integration (nice to have).You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain Ruby on Rails applications with a focus on scalability and performance.- Build and manage AWS infrastructure components using Terraform and DevOps best practices.- Implement and maintain serverless solutions leveraging AWS Lambda and related services.- Integrate and maintain APIs and external systems, ensuring reliability and data consistency.- Refactor legacy components to improve maintainability, performance, and code clarity.- Write and maintain automated tests (RSpec, Minitest) to ensure high code quality and coverage.- Monitor application performance and proactively address issues or bottlenecks.- Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines, ensuring secure, consistent, and efficient deployments.- Participate in code reviews, maintaining high-quality development standards.- Engage in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).- Work closely with front-end, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver robust, end-to-end solutions.Additional InformationHere at Applaudo Studios values as trust, communication, respect, excellence and team work are our keys to success.
