Leads the category strategy development process within category teams to develop appropriate and innovative TCO-based strategies. Reviews the overall effectiveness of strategies, identifies further opportunities, and makes improvements. Articulates the category vision and road to improvement to all stakeholders in clear, inspiring terms, building and enhancing cross-functional/multi-disciplinary team working. Obtains sign-off for all category strategies within the area of responsibility. Monitors the progress of strategies and the changing business environment. Supports the team by monitoring progress of targets and numbers. Ensures LATAM sourcing practices and processes conform to overall procurement policies and that systems, policies, and procedures are adhered to. Attends to business needs and facilitates category team liaison with internal stakeholders, category owners, and suppliers to set up product testing and evaluation. Secures strong buy-in and influences decisions to help implement and sustain initiatives. Leads cost reduction programs and tracks improvements over time, adjusting plans as necessary to maintain implementation pace. Ensures good governance in all aspects of category management and contracts management, including purchase order approval. Stakeholder relationship management Guides and challenges strategies during negotiations with suppliers and manages relationships at the top level of supplier organizations. Aligns strategies with peer managers and facilitates communication and information flow between end-users and the supply market. Manages priorities and provides guidance to the team, supporting collaboration across procurement areas on strategic categories. Secures resources to support business objectives and provides direction to the category teams, managing performance through individual reviews. Ensures effective communication within the teams and promotes a positive working environment, enhancing credibility through service delivery and issue resolution. Identifies training and knowledge gaps within the team and arranges necessary inputs, including managing intern activities and development. Requirements & Skills Minimum 5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing Cost management and TCO expertise University degree Advanced English and Spanish levels Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Negotiation techniques, SRM, and Strategic Sourcing knowledge Strong knowledge of the market and main suppliers in the category Leadership skills for mentorship and coaching Preferred: MBA Degree Behavior Skills Leadership to inspire the team Strategic thinking and proactive improvement seeking Ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure Strategic and critical thinking to challenge the status quo Focus on profitable and sustainable business leadership Seniority level Executive Employment type Full-time Job function Management Industries Personal Care Product Manufacturing and Retail, Health and Personal Care Products #J-18808-Ljbffr
