Senior Backend Developer (PHP) - Brazil Department: Engineering Employment Type: Permanent Location: Remote Brazil Overview We’re seeking a dedicated Senior Backend Developer to work within our Product Development group. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including greenfield products, improving existing features, paying down technical debt, and everything in between. This role is an opportunity for you to really make a high impact and build as we enter our next phase of growth. We’re looking for someone who not only will be driving new feature development, but also ensuring best practices are top of mind. Responsibilities You have worked on a product development team that has delivered features and services from beginning to end You have designed and developed services that handle millions of requests You are able to innovate through iteration, breaking down product features into shippable value increments You have worked closely with engineering peers, product and design members to create high-quality products that customers love to use You have successfully helped your teams prioritize work to maximize quality, stability and project delivery You, through code reviews and peer feedback, advocate for high standards and look for ways to improve the overall quality of our codebase You take a collaborative approach to architecture, technical patterns, and complex problems You have experience working in a fully remote environment What You\u2019ll Bring You have 5+ years of professional experience with PHP, including PHP 8+ and the modern PHP ecosystem You have deep experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel You have 4+ years of experience working on large-scale SaaS applications (no CMS, please) You are well-versed in various design patterns and know where to apply them You have deep experience crafting optimized RDBMS queries You have experience leading technical discovery, architectural planning, and technical scoping on your team You have a high bar for quality and hold yourself and your peers accountable to it You proactively take on challenges from start to finish You’re good at unblocking yourself and your team to keep things moving What You’ll Do Your time will be divided between new features, UI/UX improvements, repaying technical debt, and improving existing features You\u2019ll prioritize and work on multiple projects from start to finish, balancing quality, stability and project delivery You\u2019ll review your teammates\' work, help set high standards, and look for ways to improve the overall quality of our codebase You\u2019ll work within your team to achieve technical excellence by taking a collaborative approach to architecture, technical patterns, and complex problems Work-life balance is a priority at AgencyAnalytics, so you\u2019ll have the flexibility to work the way that suits you best Our Stack Modern PHP (PSR) + Laravel Typescript, React, and Redux GCP Cloud SQL (MySQL), BigQuery, and Redis GCP Cloud Tasks and PubSub #J-18808-Ljbffr
