In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure Service Strategy and Service Design, including good understanding on IT Service Delivery, including articulating the desired future state, understanding the current state, identifying the gaps between the two states and developing approaches to close these gaps in an effective and structured manner.

Has in-depth technical understanding of IT Network infrastructure products and services including cyber-security related area(s).

Key Accountabilities:

1. Leads and is accountable for the success of IT Network infrastructure service/product development projects.
2. Makes consistent use of IT architecture development techniques such as TOGAF, and develops target architecture, solution architecture for priority infrastructure services and/or products; including requirements collection.
3. Makes consistent use of project management techniques such as initializing and planning projects, developing project cost structure, tracking and reporting project deliverables, managing risk, managing contracts, and applying project management processes and tools.
4. Develops 3-to-5-year long Network infrastructure product/service strategy, ensures that the necessary architecture requirements are developed in a timely manner in order to execute the network strategy through yearly Operating Plans that are properly budgeted/funded.
5. Participates in Architecture Review Board/Design Authority to ensure all service/product development work takes place in an aligned and coordinated way that matches overall IT enterprise strategy and architecture.
6. Participates in IT change programs at regional/global levels, in order that maximum business benefits can be achieved.
7. Plays an important role in the support structure as part of the escalation process, delivering product/service-related expertise for the timely resolution of incidents and problems.
8. May take part in the deployment of regionally and globally developed solutions, and is responsible for operational excellence of the product/service developed.
9. Ensures high client satisfaction for projects/engagements executed.
10. Interacts with IT Operations, IT Function staff/manager, Purchasing/Procurement, Legal, key subcontractors and/or vendors during all the life cycle phases of the network solutions.
11. Provides technical advice/guidance to the project teams, Service Delivery, and Service Desk & Monitoring groups.

Main internal relations:

• IT architects and technical leads inside NETWORK, Systems & Hosting, Modern Workplace, IT CYBER-SECURITY product teams.
• IT functional teams in the Business Services & Digital/Data/Integration product teams for coordination with application architecture requirements & project managers.
• Architecture Review Board members to ensure enterprise alignment as well as other Network architects and other architects.
• IT Procurement including strategic sourcing or multi-sourcing aspects + Legal department contacts on contract development & management.

Main external relations:

• Key IT service providers + external contractor service providers.

Academic background:

Bac+5, Engineering or related IT college/university degree. Masters Degree is a plus.

Learning experience:

10 to 12 years of IT Network infrastructure experience, with up to 6 to 8 years of which was as the Network Architect. Network domain specialty includes Cisco/Fortinet LAN/WAN/Cyber-Security, M365 based Telephony, MS Azure virtual networking.

RFP experience including SLA development, contract development, review and approval. Vendor performance management including effective governance and operational and management escalation with experience in managed services (NOC).

Ability to work across multiple groups and geographies and cultures to solve problems thus minimizing service level risk. Leadership skills in building consensus in managing remote teams and resolving conflicts and delivering effective results.

Deep problem resolution and root cause analysis skills. Architecture development methodology experience or qualification + Project Management skills or certification.

Specific competency:

Experience in LAN campus design, Data Center LAN/DMZ design, SD-WAN, Cisco/Fortigate firewalls, IDP/IDS, Azure, cloud-based proxy services.

ITIL Foundation Level Certification + Architecture Development Methodology (TOGAF).
