Job Overview:

Our team is seeking a seasoned data engineer to help us design and implement a scalable data processing solution for our e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Python-based ETL tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement efficient data models to support big data volumes and integrate solutions with current architecture.
  • Develop robust and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and pySpark.
  • Integrate data from disparate sources, including databases, APIs, and external data providers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful data warehousing solutions.
Requirements:
  • Strong recent hands-on expertise with Azure Data Factory and Synapse (3+ years).
  • Experience leading a distributed team.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.
  • Extensive experience with building scalable and reliable data solutions using cloud-based technologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines for efficient data ingestion and analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL and proficiency in programming languages such as Python and shell scripting.
Bonus Skills:
  • Experience with Elasticsearch.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Troubleshooting and Performance Tuning: Ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data processing workflows and optimize data pipelines for efficient data ingestion and analysis.
