The Mission We are looking for a Senior Engineer to replace a key member of our technical team. You will be joining a group working on a revolutionary product designed to completely transform the United States Insurance Industry. This is not just a standard CRUD application; we are building complexworkflows involving AI agents and browser-based tooling to modernize a legacy industry. The Role You will act as a Full Stack Developer with a heavy emphasis on Backend and AI logic. While Python is your primary weapon for new development, you must be versatile enough to tune existing Node.Js services and handle frontend requirements in Angular and Chrome Extensions. We are looking for someone who understands Agentic Workflows —how to organize AI models to perform complex tasks—not just someone who knows how to make a simple API call to OpenAI. Key Responsibilities AI & Backend Architecture: Design and implement robust backend services using Python. You will lead the development of AI Agents, defining how they interact, manage context, and execute tasks. Browser-Based Innovation : Maintain and expand our core Chrome Extension product. This is a critical interface for our users. Service Tuning: Interface with and optimize existing microservices written in Node.Js. You don’t need to be a Node expert, but you must be comfortable reading, debugging, and tuning this code. Frontend Maintenance: implement UI/UX features using Angular. While the role is backend-heavy, you should be comfortable jumping into the frontend to ship complete features. Light Infrastructure: Handle very basic deployment or configuration tasks (DevOps is not a primary duty, but “infrastructure awareness” is required). What we’re looking for Seniority: 5+ years of commercial software development experience. Python Mastery: Deep experience with Python for backend development. AI/Agent Experience: proven experience working with LLMs and AI Agents. You understand the architecture of agentic frameworks (loops, memory, tools). Note: Specific framework knowledge (LangChain, CrewAI) is a plus, but a strong conceptual grasp of how agents are organized is mandatory. Node.Js Proficiency: Ability to read, understand, and patch Node.Js environments. Nice to Have Experience with LangChain or CrewAI. Experience building or maintaining complex browser extensions (manifest v3, background scripts, content injection). Previous experience in the InsurTech or Fintech sectors.
